The 800th Anniversary of Christmas in Greccio

It was in the village in Greccio, Italy, that a living Nativity scene was created by St. Francis of Assisi, and the people gathered to celebrate Christmas. Join us as we recall the story of Greccio, the meaning it had for St. Francis, and the significance it has for us today. You are invited to share a photo of your nativity at home or, if you’d like, to bring along the actual set. All are welcome, and no RSVP is necessary. Freewill offerings accepted.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
